Responsible for tool and service designs within a technical domain that enable business strategies in accordance with architectural governance, standards and policies. Primary contributor to the creation of infrastructure tools and their integration as an infrastructure service. Facilitates deployment of technical solution by developing templates, playbooks and automation to be used during implementation. Infrastructure Engineer II consistently looks for opportunities to improve the reliability and efficiency when implementing and maintaining infrastructure tools and/or services. This engineer embraces the culture that drives innovation and continuous improvement.

The role requires an analytical, high energy, and results driven individual to provide capacity planning, analysis, and performance management support for the Network infrastructure across all business sectors. Ideal candidate will be capable of multi-tasking on a variety of efforts and responsibilities. This role requires familiarity with the financial / brokerage business sector and understanding of key business and volume drivers.

Develop capacity reporting strategies
Provide Architecture guidance
Develop scaling strategies for the global network across a variety of platforms and products:

Internal & External connectivity
Routers, switches, firewalls, load balance-rs, proxies
SDWAN, cloud & DMZ security
Will create volume/project impact forecasts at the line of business level and convert those forecasts into future capacity acquisition targets
Must fully comprehend the tasks, responsibilities, and processes of capacity planning.
Contributes to compliance and/or audit reviews from internal and external resources.
Other ad hoc responsibilities as required

Required Skills:

Minimum of 5-7 years’ experience with Capacity Management in a large-scale environment.
Domain Expertise: Compute, Storage, Networks, Data Center Resource Planning, Application Performance Monitoring.

Instrumentation and Tooling:

SevOne, NetScout, Splunk, TSCOU
SNMP performance tools

Capacity Planning:
Cisco network architecture
Various network hardware platforms
Software – LAN/WAN routing
Statistical values and Quantitative analysis
SQL, Splunk, Python
SAS or R programming, SQL (Medium to advanced
Modeling tools and regression algorithms

Desired Skills:

Communicate effectively with other technical staff – including Project Management and Application Development groups.
Present analysis results in a clear and concise manner.
