NOTE: This is a hybrid role that requires the worker to be onsite at the client facility in Urbandale, IA, as needed.
This IT team is looking for a Security by Design Software Engineer to help foster a culture of security in our client’s embedded space. The team’s mission is to drive secure development practices into all of John Deere’s embedded teams around the globe.
Team Responsibilities:
- Finding ways to make security easy for developers
- Choosing, implementing, creating, and supporting security tools in the SDLC
- Creating process around security related activities
- Educating developers on security concepts and helping explain security
Skills needed:
- 3+ Background in embedded application dev (C/C++)
- Python app development
- Experience influencing without authority
- Experience with Linux systems
- Experience with Application Security
- Experience DevOps or DevSecOps
- Experience with AWS
- Worked on Agile / Scrum team
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Cyber Security, Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience
